Will periodic RMD withdrawals be stopped automatically?

Many financial institutions will not automatically cancel recurring RMD withdrawals as some account holders may wish to continue taking withdrawals. If a pause to recurring withdrawals is desired, the advisor will need to request to change the date for recurring distributions. For example, if the client has a monthly distribution set up, the advisor can request a change of the date until later. The same applies to the annual systematic RMDs.
